new post : dear diary

ArtSpace Cleveland received an inquiry from a writer/artist for our opinion on a two-family house she is considering buying in Cleveland Heights. The city has renovated this side-by-side with the goal to attract home buyers to the neighborhood. There are a lot of financial incentives. The street, which is near the Cedar-Lee area, with its numerous 2-families would be ideal for artists. The area needs a plan to attract artists.

  1. Visit today with Susan Begin, artist living (renting) in Olmsted Township. Kids are out of the house...now she wants to live and work in an area that is affordable with other artists, and where she can sell her work. Wants to be included in the list of artists interested in ownership. Also interested in a storefront with an living space upstairs.

  2. Good time to look for a building or storefront for ownership. Also a land bank situation. Must look at a funding development plan.
