ArtSpace Cleveland's mission is to help artists find places to live and work in the city of Cleveland. We are exploring opportunities for ownership on land bank lots and industrial buildings in Cleveland.
Dear Diary, Sunday - we work! Why, Because we can...no driving to the office, using a key to get in, signing the weekend visitor register, etc. We just alternate between eating and working.
ArtSpace Cleveland received an inquiry from a writer/artist for our opinion on a two-family house she is considering buying in Cleveland Heights. The city has renovated this side-by-side with the goal to attract home buyers to the neighborhood. There are a lot of financial incentives. The street, which is near the Cedar-Lee area, with its numerous 2-families would be ideal for artists. The area needs a plan to attract artists.
ArtSpace-Cleveland looking at foreclosed homes for our artist live/work studio. The house on the back lot is my dream come true...if it's not a money-pit to fix up. It's small, one story and has a deck on the front. I can vision myself on the deck with my coffee as the sun comes up. Let's pray!
We are artists, architects & planners and are part of the artist live/work movement in the city of Cleveland. I'm a Precint Committeeperson for Jeff Johnson in Ward 8. We live in the city's Arts Quarter in Asia Town where houses are tucked behine other houses and are between little foundrys. This is a great life style for for older artists.
My Diary! What's it like living in a true artist live/work loft! Harriet Gould

Dear Diary,
ReplyDeleteIt's high 80degrees, but it's probably 100 degrees in the loft. Wish it would rain! Maybe we'll do dinner with the family. HG
